I have been reading the usual "stuff" on the horse racing message boards lately about how systems and "touts" don't work and that half of the 2% of all people who win longterm on horse racing (the 2% number being a figure that we DO agree on) do so because they make their money by selling their own products.

Although I totally agree that most if not all of the so called "systems" have many flaws and that many "touts" (folks who select horses for their customers) do so simply to supplement their income, there is a huge difference between them and those of us who attempt to educate people on how to handicap horse racing and wager properly.

In fact, my spot play results are posted in the members area of the Horse Race Handicapping College site for our members to look back many months and see that not only do we consistently offer strong price plays for our customers, but instead of just throwing them a "fish", we always welcome the opportunity to "teach them how to fish" as well, and to learn the concepts similar to "know when to hold'em and know when to fold'em" like poker.

I am committed to giving back to people what was so patiently given to me in the late 1970's and that is the tools needed for beating this "game" on a longterm, CONSISTENT basis.

How can anyone think that a game in which the outcome is determined by player against player not be a beatable one?

People acknowledge every day that there are professional poker players who win on a consistent basis by beating the other players, and even though the house rake in poker is smaller than horse racing, it is the EXACT same concept!

OZONE PARK, N.Y. -- For those who missed out on Aqueduct's million-dollar pick-six pool on March 5, a second opportunity awaits you on Wednesday. After the wager went un-hit on Friday and Saturday - and with no racing Sunday through Tuesday - there is a carryover of $236,310 entering Wednesday's card.

Two weeks ago, when there was a carryover of $265,874, an additional $1.05 million was wagered into the pool. With Gulfstream and Santa Anita both dark Wednesday, handicappers will likely gravitate to Aqueduct's pick six.

Two weeks ago, there were only 50 betting interests - 41 after scratches. Wednesday, there are 57 betting interests in the sequence with nary a single on the card. Rain was forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, meaning a wet track is likely.

You just have to love that sloppy track and that is where the real horse race handicappers have the opportunity to show their expertise.

Funny Cide dominates the Kentucky Derby and then on a sloppy track in Pimlico, runs away from the field in the Preakness. This horse race was over at the top of the stretch. At that point in time, there were plenty of horse race handicappers who strongly felt that Funny Cide was a given in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

The Kentucky Derby is in the air and historic Keeneland will open in a couple of weeks. (April 4)

Spring officially begins March 20, and Kentucky awakes to green fields, redbuds, dogwoods and horses. Horse lovers young and old will find activities coming in April that will entertain and educate right in your own back yard.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008, the Kentucky Horse Park just off I-75 Exit 120 in Lexington begins its full season of activities beginning March 15. Enjoy the sounds and excitement of the show ring during the Parade of Breeds staged twice daily.

Riders in authentic dress put selected breeds through their paces. Tour the Draft Horse barn and see why the Belgians, Clydesdales, Percherons, English Shires, Haflingers, Suffolks and Mammoth Mules are the "gentle giants" that pull the Park’s trolleys.

The Hall of Champions program will let you photograph real racetrack champions that are living the good life of retirement at the Horse Park.

The International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum are also included in your admission price.

A huge carriage display, the silver trophies from the glory days of Calumet Farms and the new permanent exhibit honoring Affirmed, the third horse of the 70s and the last horse to win the elusive Triple Crown, are just a few of the many exhibits to enjoy. Both the International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum are in the process of major expansions.

Only a yellow plastic chain separates them on Saturdays at Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino in Hallandale Beach, but they might as well be world's apart.

Welcome to Frank's Energy Beach, the park's new, outdoor lounge, styled as a trendy hangout for 20- and 30-somethings who come from all over South Florida.

It was created by Gulfstream owner Frank Stronach and his vice president for strategic development, Aaron Perry, to bring in the young.....

Horse racing has not grown over the years with innovative ideas and is stuck with the same mentality that it has had for over 50 years, and has lost ground in popularity to the other major sporting events.

Other than the Kentucky Derby, the Triple Crown, and the Breeders' Cup, there is very little enthusiasm for the Sport of Kings.

The greedy Track Owners have lined their pockets over the years and have tarnished a very exciting and lucrative sport.

Unless innovative ideas are brought to the table, horse racing and horse race handicapping will continue to be stuck in the mud and the 'fat cats' will continue to line their pockets with your money.

I personally have devised a plan that could bring back the excitement to thoroughbred horse racing and horse race handicapping.

Anticipation would once again fill the air in advance of a major race. It would create a national and international following much like the Super Bowl.

Horse races on Par with the classic Sea Biscuit and War Admiral.
